內容簡(jiǎn)介:　　為了幫助考生備考新SAT，我們從麥格勞·希爾出版公司引進(jìn)了這套《新SAT官方指南詳解》系列，一共三本：數學(xué)分冊、寫(xiě)作分冊以及閱讀理解分冊。希望能夠幫助考生吃透新SAT官方指南，從容備考，取得理想的成績(jì)。該系列叢書(shū)的作者均為美國一線(xiàn)有經(jīng)驗的新SAT考試輔導教師，有著(zhù)豐富的實(shí)戰經(jīng)驗，相信該系列圖書(shū)的出版會(huì )為中國考生帶來(lái)新的備考視角和啟發(fā)。
　　眾所周知，新SAT考試雖然分為三個(gè)項，分別考查學(xué)生的數學(xué)能力、分析能力、邏輯推理能力以及語(yǔ)言運用能力，而這三項考試卻都是在全英文的環(huán)境下進(jìn)行的。對于中國考生來(lái)講，更重要的是理解出題方的思維方式和解題思路，而不是簡(jiǎn)單地記憶英語(yǔ)詞匯；需要的是培養一種英語(yǔ)閱讀素養，從而更快地在規定時(shí)間內完成題目。同時(shí)，逐漸養成的思維方式也會(huì )幫助考生更好地適應未來(lái)在大洋彼岸的大學(xué)生活，這也是新SAT考試的目的——幫助學(xué)校了解申請者是否已經(jīng)在智力上為大學(xué)的學(xué)習做好了準備。這就是為什么我們從考試的發(fā)源國——美國，引進(jìn)出版這套叢書(shū)的目的。施夷長(cháng)技以制夷。出于以上考慮，我們針對不同分項考試的特點(diǎn)，在出版的過(guò)程中對每?jì)詴?shū)的翻譯做了不同的處理。
　　數學(xué)分冊提供了數學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)英漢詞匯表；關(guān)于數學(xué)知識總復習部分，我們保留原英文的講解。對于多數中國學(xué)生，SAT數學(xué)考試部分的內容還是比較容易的，考查的知識基本不出中國大陸高中數學(xué)教學(xué)的范圍?？忌ㄟ^(guò)書(shū)后所附的數學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)英漢對照詞匯表，能夠不費力地理解講解內容。保留數學(xué)的英文復習部分的目的是讓學(xué)生能夠有更多的機會(huì )熟悉這些數學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)和常用表達，從而在實(shí)際的考試中節省閱讀題目的時(shí)間。
　　寫(xiě)作分冊，除對考試要求介紹做了翻譯以外，其他的內容全部采用英文。這樣的設計也是為了讓考生能夠有更多的機會(huì )了解并理解美國式的寫(xiě)作要求以及寫(xiě)作方法，從而在考試中避免使用中式英語(yǔ)，并為適應未來(lái)留學(xué)生活中的繁重學(xué)業(yè)做好必要的準備。美國大學(xué)的很多作業(yè)都是以小論文的方式出現，良好的寫(xiě)作技必然會(huì )大大提高學(xué)習的效率?？紤]到講解部分可能涉及一些考生不認識的單詞，我們做了一個(gè)詞匯表，供學(xué)生參考。
　　閱讀分冊對題解，也就是答案解析部分采取了特殊處理?？紤]到參加該項考試考生的不同需求以及閱讀理解考試自身的特點(diǎn)，我們對題解部分做了中文翻譯，并將其放在英文題解的后面，供考生在看英文題解有困難時(shí)使用。我們的建議是，無(wú)論是做對還是做錯了題目，做完題應翻閱英文題解。題解給了我們一個(gè)很好地了解美國人思維方式的機會(huì )，應充分利用并加以體會(huì )。否則就沒(méi)有將該套叢書(shū)利用徹底。
