Struggling to adapt to life without his beloved Lady Glencora, he works hard to guide and support his three adult children. The final volume in the Palliser novels, "The Duke's Children" (1880) is a compelling exploration of wealth, pride and ultimately the strength of love.
作者簡(jiǎn)介:Anthony Trollope (1815-1882) was a prolific and popular novelist who simultaneously maintained a successful career as a civil servant in the Post Office. He wrote 47 novels during his life, the most famous of which are the six Chronicles of Barsetshire and the six 'Palliser' novels.
