內容簡(jiǎn)介:    該《北京古地圖集》是從國家圖書(shū)館地圖專(zhuān)藏和書(shū)型古籍中遴選出的59種113幅有關(guān)北京的中外古舊地圖，按成書(shū)（圖）的時(shí)間先后編排而成，旨在通過(guò)展現古代北京在全國的空間位置、所屬所管沿革，尤其是通過(guò)展示北京城市的空間布局、市政建設等發(fā)展變化，勾勒出北京城市的空間發(fā)展軌跡，并通過(guò)文字介紹相關(guān)背景，解讀這些古舊地圖背后的歷史，為全方位了解北京城市發(fā)展提供豐富的信息。
    從本圖集收錄的幾種宋元時(shí)期成圖的地圖中，如《歷代地理指掌圖》、《禹跡?》、《華夷圖》等，我們可以清楚看到北京從遠古時(shí)期的薊城到遼代的燕京、南京，再到金人的中都、元代的大都的歷史沿革。豐富的明清時(shí)期及民國時(shí)期的地圖則更加清晰地揭示了北京在“北平”、“北京”、“北京特別市”等名稱(chēng)變化中所折射出的地位變化。北京曾經(jīng)的所轄所屬也在“腹里圖”、“北直隸圖”等圖及相關(guān)地名標識中得以體現。
    從上個(gè)世紀九十年代開(kāi)始，國內已經(jīng)陸續出版了《中國古代地圖集》三卷本、《中國古代地圖集》城市地圖卷、《中華古地圖珍品集》等若干部古地圖圖集。與同類(lèi)地圖集相比，雖然有些地圖已經(jīng)被收入出版，但《北京古地圖集》所選地圖 集中于北京城，就一個(gè)城市的地圖來(lái)說(shuō)，無(wú)論數量、形式和內容的豐富性，其它圖集都不能堪比，《北京古地圖集》選入一些外國人繪制的北京地圖，也是以往中國古地圖集從未有過(guò)的特點(diǎn)，可以通過(guò)中外地圖的對比來(lái)啟發(fā)讀者的思考；而且地圖的文字說(shuō)明采用中英文對照，更符合現代中國出版物推向國際，有利于促進(jìn)中外地圖學(xué)史領(lǐng)域的文化交流。
